Hello! and welcome to my blog.

This blog, formerly named "The Short View", have since been renamed to what you see above, "The long-short view".

In finance, more particularly used by hedge funds, a long-short strategy is utilized as an investment/trading strategy where positions are held in a portfolio, which will register gains in both rising and falling markets.

How these positions are arrived at are based on whatever the trading edge that particular trader or portfolio manager has. Going forward I will  analyze some of the macroeconomic factors that may give an indication of strong and weak companies.

The information displayed in this blog is for educational purposes only and should not be construed as financial advice, ideally you should seek the advice of a professional advisor.

While I will try my utmost best to communicate ideas as accurately as possible, I am not infallible and may not always be right, please feel free to let me know by  contacting me here.
